    Double-Decker Bus Collides with Parked Cars in Glasgow

    A double-decker bus collided with two parked cars on Arrochar Street in Summerston, Glasgow on Monday evening. Images shared on social media show the bus windscreen smashed and one of the cars lying on its side. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area to carry out investigations.

    The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed that there were no reported injuries. They have since left the scene after ensuring the area was safe. A spokesperson for the SFRS stated that the incident involved a road traffic collision between two private parked cars and a commercial bus.

    Police Scotland were also called to the scene and reported that the driver of the bus was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The driver has been charged in connection with a road traffic offense, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

    First Bus, the company operating the service, confirmed the incident and stated that all passengers on the bus were able to safely disembark. They emphasized that the safety of their customers and colleagues is their top priority. First Bus has already initiated an investigation into the incident and apologized to their customers for any disruption to the service.

    Fortunately, no casualties were involved in the collision, and emergency services were able to respond quickly to ensure the safety of those involved. Investigations will continue to determine the cause of the incident.
