Jindal Hunting Energy Services Ltd (JHESL), a joint venture between Jindal SAW Ltd. and Hunting Energy Services Ltd., proudly announced the grand opening of their new facility in Nashik, Maharashtra. This facility, called the “Center of Excellence,” is the first of its kind in India and is capable of producing and supplying pipes, tubes, and premium connections to the OCTG market within the Indian oil and gas sector.
Traditionally, these products had to be imported from other countries, putting a strain on India’s foreign exchange situation. However, with the launch of this new facility, India now has the capability to produce these essential products domestically, reducing the country’s dependence on imports and earning valuable foreign exchange through exports.
The facility is not only equipped to produce pipes and tubes but also to provide threading services for Hunting’s premium connections. It has a comprehensive range of products, including various grades in iron and steel, as well as alloy steel and exotic value-added grades. With an annual threading capacity of 70,000 metric tons of OCTG, the facility will contribute greatly to the domestic production capabilities of the oil and gas industry in India.
This achievement aligns with the Indian government’s vision of AatmaNirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India), and Jindal SAW Ltd.’s Chairman, Mr. P.R. Jindal, expressed his happiness and satisfaction at participating in the AatmaNirbhar initiative.
