Interstate Batteries Takes on Multiple Sponsor Roles at Texas Motor Speedway

Interstate Batteries, the Dallas-based founding partner of Joe Gibbs Racing, is set to make history this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. For the first time in their 32-year partnership, Interstate Batteries will serve as the primary sponsor for not just one, but two cars in the NASCAR Cup Series AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400. The No. 20 car will be driven by Christopher Bell, while the No. 54 car will be driven by Ty Gibbs.

Being the home track for Interstate Batteries, this race holds great significance for the company. Chairman Emeritus of the board, Norm Miller, expressed his excitement stating, “It’s always been a dream of mine to have multiple cars featuring the Interstate Batteries brand on the track at one time. To be able to do this, and at Texas, is very exciting for the entire company.”

In addition to the Cup Series race, Interstate Batteries will also be participating in the Xfinity Series race with driver Trevor Bayne. Bayne, the 2011 Daytona 500 champion, will be driving the iconic green-and-white scheme of Interstate Batteries during Saturday’s Andy’s Frozen Custard 300.

Bayne, who has previously raced for JGR in select Xfinity races, shared his excitement saying, “It’s certainly an honor, and to be able to run that scheme at Texas – their home track – is even more special.”

Interstate Batteries has a rich history in NASCAR, having been involved in the Cup Series since 1992. Their expanded presence in this weekend’s races reflects their commitment to the sport and their long-standing partnership with Joe Gibbs Racing.

Overall, this weekend promises to be an exciting one for Interstate Batteries as they assert their dominance at their home track and showcase their commitment to NASCAR racing.
