Siemens, a global technology company, has entered into a partnership with electric vehicle (EV) charging platform provider Monta to facilitate the expansion of charging infrastructure across Europe. This collaboration will enable Siemens to become a one-stop-shop solutions provider for e-mobility services to corporate fleet operators.
As part of the partnership, Siemens will use Monta’s Charge Point Management System (CPMS) to manage its own fleet and charging points, as well as provide a comprehensive solution for EV charging at work, in public, and at home. The CPMS will support various aspects of charge point operation, including load balancing, charger availability, charger accessibility, and pricing. It will also offer fleet management, smart access rights, automatic home reimbursement, and multiple payment options for drivers.
By utilizing Monta’s CPMS as an operating system, Siemens aims to accelerate the adoption of e-mobility and establish a pan-European infrastructure for corporate fleet and facility managers. This infrastructure will provide charging services to company car drivers, pool car drivers, and employees.
Siemens will offer the solution as a managed service, taking care of the system’s setup and monitoring on behalf of customers. The partnership will also introduce a mobile app with enhanced functionalities to enhance the overall EV charging experience.
