Electric vehicle manufacturer, Polestar, has announced its partnership with Ohme to offer smart charging stations for its customers in Ireland. Ohme, a leading provider of dynamic smart charging technology, will extend its award-winning charging solution to all Polestar customers in the country. As part of the agreement, Polestar will recommend Ohme chargers for its sales, providing drivers with an efficient EV charging option.
By using an Ohme smart charger during off-peak hours, a Polestar 2 Long Range Single Motor vehicle with a 78 kWh battery can cover a distance of 10,000 kilometers over a year for €216.60. In contrast, charging the same vehicle on the Standard Tariff would cost significantly more at €700.15. This demonstrates the cost savings and efficiency that Ohme’s technology can offer.
Jonathan Goodman, Head of Polestar UK & Ireland, expressed his excitement about working with Ohme as their recommended home charger supplier for Irish owners. He praised Ohme’s award-winning smart chargers, customer service, and professionalism, stating that they align perfectly with Polestar’s values and culture. This collaboration allows Polestar to provide customers not only with a high-performance electric vehicle but also with a matching charging solution.
David Watson, CEO of Ohme, highlighted the natural partnership between Ohme and Polestar. He commended Polestar for revolutionizing the introduction of electric vehicles and stated that Ohme’s technology empowers drivers to get more out of their EVs.
Polestar’s partnership with Ohme adds to its commitment to providing a comprehensive EV experience to its customers in Ireland. By offering smart charging solutions, Polestar aims to make EV ownership more convenient, cost-effective, and sustainable.
