Mercedes-Benz Launches Latest Electric SUV in India

Mercedes-Benz is making strides in the Indian luxury car market with the launch of its latest electric SUV, the EQE 500 4MATIC. Lance Bennett, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, is optimistic about the potential that the Indian market holds. The new SUV, priced at Rs 1.39 crores (ex-showroom, all India), showcases Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to the electrification movement in the country.

The EQE 500 4MATIC SUV boasts a driving range of 550 kilometers (WLTP) on a single charge, providing customers with peace of mind. This extended range is one of the key features that make the vehicle attractive to luxury car buyers. With the rising demand for electric vehicles and the push for sustainable mobility, Mercedes-Benz is positioning itself as a frontrunner in the Indian market.

In addition to launching the EQE 500 4MATIC SUV, Mercedes-Benz is also working towards developing an EV charging ecosystem in India. The company currently has over 140 charging stations across the country, including AC chargers, 60 kW DC Fast Chargers, and 180 kW DC Ultra-Fast chargers. This infrastructure ensures that customers have convenient access to charging facilities, further enhancing the appeal of electric vehicles.

By expanding its electric vehicle portfolio and investing in charging infrastructure, Mercedes-Benz aims to cater to the evolving needs of luxury car buyers in India. With the government’s push for electric mobility and the increasing focus on sustainability, the luxury car market is set to witness a significant shift in the coming years.
