In 2005, the Nuon Solar Team won the World Solar Challenge with their solar car Nuna3. As from 21 October 2007 the next Panasonic World Solar Challenge takes place, a race straight through Australia with vehicles on solar power. Eleven fresh and motivated students are ready to face the challenge of their life the coming year: the evolution of Nuna-raceconcept to a vehicle which will be more suitable for daily use, but fast enough to win! The adaptations to solar car originate from the new set-up of the race: the driver must sit nearly upright, the solar panel will become smaller than at the previous editions and the security requirements are stricter. 999_nuon_solar_teamIn 2005, the Nuon Solar Team won the World Solar Challenge with their solar car Nuna3.
